At the 20th Convention of Croatian Exporters, held on September 8 in Zagreb under the theme “Technologies of the Future / Challenges of Global Trade,” the “Golden Key” awards were presented to the most successful Croatian exporters.

KONČAR – Distribution and Special Transformers (D&ST) received the Golden Key award in the category of Best Large Exporter in 2024, alongside nominations in three additional categories: Best Exporter to Germany, Hungary, and Austria. 

Upon receiving the award, Vanja Burul, President of the Management Board of D&ST, emphasized that thanks to the dedicated efforts of all employees, management, and partners, the company significantly exceeded its business plans in 2024. 

With two platinum keys and four market-specific awards already in hand, this marks the sixth Golden Key for D&ST in this category, further underscoring the strength and consistency of its export strategy.

At the same ceremony, KONČAR – Power Transformers (KPT), a joint venture between KONČAR and Siemens Energy, was awarded the Golden Key for Best Exporter to the United Kingdom. KPT generates nearly 100% of its revenue through exports to the global market. The award was accepted by Boris Potočki, President of the Management Board of KPT.

These recognitions highlight KONČAR Group’s exceptional position in the complex global market, its strong international presence, and its ability to compete successfully at the highest level.

Following the export success, KONČAR received further recognition in the field of sustainability. At the 6th international conference “Support Sustainability 2025 – Re:start!”, held on September 9 and 10 and organized by the Croatian Chamber of Economy, ESG awards (ESG Rating HGK) were presented for the third consecutive year, recognizing companies with outstanding achievements in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices across six categories.

In the category of Best Sustainable Medium-Sized Company, KONČAR – Motors and Electrical Systems was awarded the ESG prize, accepted by director Šimun Ercegovac.
