Sustainable Financing Projects
The KONČAR Group is implementing an investment cycle focused on the development and modernisation of its manufacturing capacities, improving energy efficiency, advancing new technologies, and strengthening the competitiveness and resilience of power infrastructure. The project is financed with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, and domestic financial institutions.
The project contributes to the green transition and enhances the resilience of the power system through the expansion of manufacturing capacities for critical power infrastructure, improvements in energy efficiency, the development of innovative technologies, and investments in skills development and the long-term competitiveness of the economy.
In line with EBRD and IFC requirements, an independent assessment of the project’s environmental and social impacts and risks has been conducted. As part of this process, an Environmental and Social Action Plan (ESAP), a Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP), and a Non-Technical Summary (NTS) have been prepared. Throughout its implementation, the project will be supported by ongoing environmental and social management, monitoring and reporting, as well as occupational health and safety oversight, ensuring compliance with applicable Croatian and European regulations and the relevant EBRD and IFC standards.
Further information about the project, its environmental and social aspects, and the planned management measures is available in the Non-technical Summary (NTS) and Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP).
