KONČAR – Electric vehicles Inc. in one of their manufacturing facilities just inked a pivotal deal with Zagrebački Električni Tramvaj (ZET) to deliver 20 new trams, building on the solid foundation of our successful collaboration that began with the delivery of 142 trams between 2005 and 2010.

In June 2023, we signed another contract for the delivery of 20 additional trams, which are currently in production. Once these projects are completed, Zagreb will be home to 182 state-of-the-art trams manufactured by KONČAR, all contributing to a more sustainable and efficient urban transit system.

Each tram, along with its key subsystems, is the result of KONČAR’s Group-wide development and manufacturing efforts. This success further cements our reputation as a leading regional technology company, with the capability to rival global industry giants. By securing this contract for new trams for the city of Zagreb, KONČAR continues its trajectory of developing products and solutions that minimize environmental impact, ensure long-term sustainability, and incorporate forward-looking digitalization.
