The first MV transformer to be awarded Carbon Footprint of Products (CFP) Verification Statement

The 80 MVA power transformer, with a voltage transmission ratio of 132/68 kV, manufactured for a new customer in Spain in February 2022, successfully underwent a carbon footprint verification audit conducted by the certification company SGS, becoming the first MV power transformer awarded the Carbon Footprint of Products (CFP) Verification Statement.

In the course of 2022, we delivered an 80 MVA power transformer, with a voltage transmission ratio of 132/68 kV for the needs of Nueva Celulosa TS.

The project is specific because the transformer successfully passed the carbon footprint audit carried out by the certification company Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS) and this is the first project to be awarded this verification statement.

In collaboration with SGS, in 2021, we conducted a Carbon Footprint study in accordance with the guidelines of ISO 14067:2018, outlining principles, requirements, and guidelines for the quantification and reporting of the product carbon footprint. The study served as the basis for calculation and subsequent reduction of the carbon footprint of our products. ISO 14067 is a part of the ISO 14060 family of standards that provides clarity and consistency for quantifying, monitoring, reporting and validating or verifying GHG emissions and removals to support sustainable development through a low-carbon economy.
