The certificate of accreditation, which testifies to the impartiality and competence in providing laboratory and field testing services, was presented to Siniša Marijan, PhD, President of the Managing Board at KONČAR – Electrical Engineering Institute by Tihomir Babić, Acting Director of the Croatian Accreditation Agency.

The ceremony held at the KONČAR headquarters was hosted by the Managing Board of KONČAR, chaired by its president, Darinko Bago, and the event was attended by Darko Horvat, Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts, Marko Pavić, Minister of Labour and Pension System and Luka Gašpar, President of the Supervisory Board at KONČAR.

The Laboratory Center of KONČAR – Electrical Engineering Institute was founded to meet the needs of the companies in the KONČAR Group and the Croatian economy in general, and in response to the requirements of the global market.

Every day, businesses that offer their products on global markets are asked to organize their processes in accordance with international standards. During the production process, in order to avoid different administrative obstacles, the quality of the product must be demonstrated by testing it in accordance with the requirements of specific standards. The search for a modern and effective way for products and services to access the market led to the founding of the Laboratory Center.

The Laboratory Center consists of eight laboratories trained to carry out different testing and calibration methods in accordance with the requirements of international standards and technical specifications.

After 20 years of work in accordance with the requirements of international standards by individual laboratories, the Laboratory Center of KONČAR – Electrical Engineering Institute now provides various product testing services in one place, which is known as the “one-stop testing” approach.
