The Pantheon Project envisages the construction of one of the most technologically advanced data centres in Europe, with a total capacity of 1 GW and operational availability exceeding the highest Tier IV standards applied in the European Union. As part of the project, strategic cooperation with the KONČAR Group includes the planned construction of a new transformer substation and 280 kilometres of transmission line infrastructure, thereby further strengthening the Croatian power system and creating the preconditions for connecting substantial new renewable energy generation capacities. The project is based on highly sustainable solutions, including the use of proprietary energy and water sources and the application of the highest European environmental standards.

Commenting on the project, Gordan Kolak emphasized that projects of this scale play a key role in the development of advanced energy and AI capacities, as well as in the long-term resilience of the power system. “KONČAR’s involvement in the Pantheon Project confirms our position as a reliable technological partner for critical infrastructure. The inclusion of several KONČAR Group companies, particularly Dalekovod, is of special value, further confirming our ability to deliver an integrated approach to highly complex projects. Such cooperation is also aligned with our strategy to strengthen our presence on the United States market and represents an important reference for further internationalization of our business,” Kolak concluded.

The Pantheon Project – the Topusko AI Innovation and Development Centre represents an investment estimated at more than EUR 50 billion, with expected significant effects on employment, industrial development, and the international positioning of Croatia in the field of future technologies. Construction is planned to commence in 2027, while the start of operations is expected in early 2029.
