KONČAR secures more than EUR 1 billion in new orders in the first half of the year
A stable growth trajectory sustained over 26 consecutive quarters
In the first six months of the year, the KONČAR Group continued its strong growth trajectory, achieving profitability levels among the highest in the company’s history. Consolidated revenues from the sale of products and services amounted to EUR 724.9 million, representing an increase of EUR 88.2 million compared to the same period last year. The Group’s growing global competitiveness is further evidenced by its strong performance in export markets, which continue to account for the majority share of KONČAR’s total sales revenues at a high 71.2%. EBITDA amounted to EUR 173.4 million, with an EBITDA margin of 23.9%, while net profit reached EUR 171.4 million, corresponding to a net profit margin of 23.6%. A key foundation for further development, strong revenue visibility in future periods and stable utilisation of manufacturing capacities is the Group’s order intake, which also recorded significant growth. During the first half of the year, KONČAR secured new contracts worth more than EUR 1 billion, while its order backlog exceeded EUR 2.9 billion by the end of June.

The first half of 2026 was marked by continued strong global demand for power infrastructure and electrical equipment, intensive investments in grid modernisation, and growing needs for reliable and sustainable energy solutions. In this environment, the KONČAR Group continued to deliver strong growth and a high level of profitability, confirming the soundness of the strategic decisions made in recent years. This is reflected in export sales revenues of EUR 516.5 million, an increase of EUR 61.2 million or 13.4% compared to the same period last year. The most significant increase in export revenues from the sale of products and services, in absolute terms, was achieved in the highly competitive European Union market, where exports rose by EUR 61.3 million, or 19.1%. By the end of June, exports to EU countries amounted to EUR 381.7 million, accounting for 73.9% of the Group’s total exports.
On a country basis, Germany remained KONČAR’s largest export market with revenues amounting to EUR 124.4 million, followed by Sweden with EUR 60.6 million and the Netherlands with EUR 42.7 million. Export markets also accounted for the majority share of newly contracted business. In the first half of 2026, KONČAR Group companies secured new contracts totalling EUR 1,013.9 million, of which export-related contracts amounted to EUR 779.3 million, representing an increase of EUR 195.9 million, or 33.6%, compared to the same period last year. As a result, export projects accounted for a substantial 76.9% share of the Group’s total contracted business at the end of June, compared to 63.6% in the same period of the previous year.
“The results achieved in the first half of the year confirm that KONČAR is successfully capitalising on the opportunities created by global trends in electrification, energy transition and infrastructure modernisation. Alongside strong growth in business activities and the stable development of all key business segments, we have further strengthened our position across European markets. We are particularly pleased with the continued successful contracting and execution of projects related to the modernisation of power infrastructure and hydropower facilities, which demonstrate both the competitiveness of our solutions and our ability to deliver complex infrastructure projects in international markets. The growing demand for energy solutions further confirms KONČAR’s relevance in the processes shaping the future of the European power sector. We are entering a period marked by the largest investment cycle in our history, through which we aim to further strengthen our capacities and lay the foundations for sustainable growth and long-term value creation for our customers, employees, shareholders and the wider community,” said Gordan Kolak, MSc, President of the Management Board of KONČAR.
The largest contribution to the Group’s results continues to come from the Power Transmission and Distribution segment, which remains the key driver of KONČAR’s development, supported by strong demand for transformers, substations and other equipment essential for the construction and modernisation of electricity networks. At the same time, the Power Generation segment recorded strong growth of 77.1% compared to the first half of 2025, primarily driven by hydropower plant revitalisation and modernisation projects. Digital solutions and platforms also delivered strong business growth of 68.1%, while the Urban Mobility and Infrastructure segment continued the successful execution of contracted projects and activities focused on future development opportunities in both domestic and international markets.
Finally, market confidence in KONČAR’s development strategy and business performance is also reflected in the continued interest of the investment community. Following the continuation of its positive trend during the second quarter, KONČAR’s share price closed the first half of the year at EUR 1,032.00, bringing the company’s market capitalisation to more than EUR 2.6 billion. Transparent reporting and open dialogue with the investment community remain among KONČAR’s long-standing priorities, while the achieved results and consistent implementation of its development strategy represent the strongest affirmation of the trust enjoyed by Croatia’s leading industrial company among investors.
