KONČAR renews Employer Partner status
The largest investment cycle in the company’s history supported by excellence in HR
During a period marked by a major investment cycle and equally intensive organisational and people development, KONČAR has renewed its prestigious Employer Partner certificate, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining high standards in human resources management.
In the first half of 2026, the KONČAR Group secured new contracts worth more than EUR 1 billion. Its growing global competitiveness is reflected in its strong performance in export markets, which continue to account for the majority of KONČAR’s sales revenue, with a share exceeding 71%. The company is also implementing the largest investment cycle in its history, aimed at further strengthening capacities and creating a solid foundation for sustainable growth and long-term value creation for customers, employees, shareholders and the wider community. These investments will create hundreds of new jobs, while acquisitions continue to strengthen the Group with new experts and competencies.

Strong business growth requires strong investment in people
In such an environment, growth is not possible without investing in people. Attracting talented professionals, ensuring effective onboarding, transferring specialised knowledge, and supporting the development of employees and managers are all essential to achieving business ambitions. This is why, alongside investments in production and technology, KONČAR has continuously strengthened its human resources management system, a commitment recognised through the renowned Employer Partner certificate.
"Receiving the Employer Partner certificate for the second consecutive time confirms that the development of KONČAR’s people management system is keeping pace with the company’s ambitions and business growth. Particular strengths include a systematic approach to employee development and management competencies, areas in which KONČAR achieves standards that are significantly above market levels. Meaningful progress has also been made in the candidate experience through further improvements to recruitment and selection processes, as well as more comprehensive feedback provided to candidates after the selection process has been completed. At a time of strong business expansion and intensive recruitment, such practices are becoming increasingly important for attracting high-quality talent and building long-term relationships with employees and candidates," said Lara Šubić Šuša, Certifier and Head of Consulting at SELECTIO Group.

Competency development at the heart of HR team expansion
Over the past several years, KONČAR has significantly strengthened its HR team to provide managers and employees with high-quality support in addressing daily challenges. The focus has not only been on increasing the number of HR professionals, but also on developing their expertise. KONČAR became the first company in Croatia to certify an internal team for the implementation of the Belbin TeamRoles questionnaire, joining an international community of team development professionals. In addition, in cooperation with SELECTIO Group, KONČAR completed the SELECTIO HR Academy programme, tailored to the specific needs of the organisation and the continued professional development of its HR team.
"At KONČAR, we believe that business growth and people development must go hand in hand. During a period of significant business expansion and the largest investment cycle in our history, we are placing particular emphasis on developing the competencies of our employees, managers and HR professionals to ensure the organisation has the capabilities needed to achieve its long-term strategic goals. The Employer Partner certificate is valuable confirmation that we are systematically building an environment in which people can realise their full potential, contribute to business success and create added value together," said Gordan Kolak, M.Sc., President of the Management Board of KONČAR.
Equal and transparent standards for more than 6,600 employees
Regularly listening to employee feedback and understanding their needs continues to drive initiatives related to health, wellbeing, engagement and employee benefits. Special attention is also given to building a fair and transparent remuneration system. This commitment was recognised by SELECTIO this year through the award of a second Equal Pay Champion certificate to the KONČAR Group. In an organisation with more than 6,600 employees operating across numerous locations in Croatia and abroad, internal communication is equally important. KONČAR continuously improves the ways in which key information reaches employees in a timely manner, regardless of whether they work in a manufacturing facility, an office environment or on an international project.
