A donation of an explosion‑proof (ATEX‑rated) motor has been made to the Electromechanical Crafts School Zagreb, one of the largest and longest‑standing vocational institutions in Croatia. The school, located at Selska cesta 83, provides education in electrical and mechanical engineering through several three‑year vocational programs.
With more than 30 class units and approximately 730–750 students, the school places strong emphasis on hands‑on training in workshops and specialized laboratories. This approach is supported by participation in regional and national competitions and by activities that connect vocational education with the industrial sector.
The ATEX‑rated motor will be used as part of a student’s final project, enabling detailed study of the construction, operating principles, and maintenance of explosion‑proof motors. After the project is completed, the motor will remain as permanent equipment for practical training and technical exercises.
Introducing real industrial technology into classrooms and workshops strengthens the quality of vocational education and helps develop competencies that are increasingly sought after in the labor market, particularly in areas involving explosion protection (ATEX) and advanced drive systems.
The Electromechanical Crafts School maintains continuous cooperation with industry, participates in professional projects, and regularly connects students with real working environments through technical visits and presentations. Advanced equipment such as the ATEX motor provides direct practical value and long‑term contribution to teaching quality.
Ongoing support for vocational schools and the development of future technicians and skilled workers remains a key priority. Investing in relevant, application‑focused equipment and encouraging practical, hands‑on learning contributes to a faster and more secure transition of young professionals into industrial environments to the benefit of students, the school, and the wider industrial sector.
