We have successfully delivered a transformer tank as part of a project for long-standing German partner. The tank is one of a series, and together with all associated equipment, weighs just 39 tonnes.

The project demonstrates the breadth of our portfolio and our ability to manufacture transformer tanks according to specific customer requirements. In addition to large bridge-type tanks, HVDC tanks, phase shifters and other large and complex projects, our production programme also includes smaller standard tanks, enabling us to respond to different market needs.

As the project was contracted as a series of several similar units, all teams involved focused on the standardization and advance preparation of individual components. This approach enabled the optimisiation of the production process and created the conditions for shorter production and delivery lead times, with the tank delivered to the customer’s site ahead of the agreed deadline.

The project demonstrates how the standardization of parts and materials can significantly accelerate production processes and shorten delivery lead times, even in a production environment where a large proportion of products are tailored to specific customer requirements.

The result provides further impetus to develop and apply this approach to other projects.
