Stjepan Sučić appointed new president of the Croatian chamber of economy IT Association
Stjepan Sučić, President of the Management board of KONČAR – Digital, has been appointed as the new President of the IT Association of the Croatian chamber of economy (HGK). The association is an important professional body that brings together leading Croatian IT companies and actively contributes to shaping the direction of the domestic IT industry.
This appointment confirms Stjepan Sučić’s expertise, experience, and long-standing contribution to the development of digital technologies and digital transformation, as well as the recognized role of KONČAR – Digital in developing innovative digital solutions.
The HGK IT Association is focused on strengthening the competitiveness of the Croatian IT sector, encouraging cooperation between businesses, educational institutions, and public bodies, and creating a supportive environment for the development of new technologies and talent. The Association’s mission is to promote the development of the IT sector in the Republic of Croatia through sustainable partnerships between private companies, related organizations, government institutions, and international organizations, with the goal of improving competitiveness, strengthening sector and company capacities, expanding markets, attracting investments, and participating in decision-making and regulatory processes at both national and international levels.
As the newly appointed President of the Association, Stjepan Sučić emphasized the importance of further developing the domestic IT industry, strengthening cooperation among stakeholders, and fostering innovation and digital transformation within the Croatian economy: “The Croatian IT industry has the potential to become one of the key drivers of Croatia’s economic growth and a regional leader in digital technologies. Significant opportunities lie ahead of us, along with challenges related to artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, the availability of skilled professionals, and the evolving European regulatory framework. Through the Association, our goal is to further strengthen cooperation between industry, government, and the educational sector, while creating conditions for faster growth of domestic technology companies and the development of high value-added products.”
