Trams
Cutting-edge, practical and innovative, our low-floor trams are eco-friendly trendsetters in the urban transport segment.
Designed to facilitate quick and easy flow of passengers, they feature the latest unit and fleet control and management systems. The number of units, doors, interior design and capacity are fully customer-specific.
Low-floor trains
The construction, design, and performance features of our low-floor EMUs and DEMUs guarantee outstanding energy utilization and superior comfort for passengers in regional and urban-suburban transit.
The vehicles are adapted for platforms with a height of 550 mm, and all basic features such as number of units, doors, interior design and capacity are fully customer-specific.
Modernization of electric locomotives
We have been successfully modernizing electric locomotives for decades. Units that have been modernized and thyristorized at our facilities are parts of fleets of numerous operators across SE Europe.
This strategy is a smart long-term investment that increases reliability and availability of vehicles in operation, as it prolongs the interval between significant overhauls, and drives down vehicle repair and maintenance costs.
Maintenance and other services
We maintain fleets of trams, trains, and locomotives for domestic carriers and private leasing operators. The ideal collaboration model involves long-term contracts, allowing our partners to rely on timely engagement and an optimal scope of work.
We carry out a variety of customer-specific mechanical and electrical calculations. When necessary, we perform specialized measurements of mechanical quantities on stationary and mobile objects - stress, vibrations, oscillation speeds, displacements, pressures, temperatures, and similar.

Many KONČAR Group members actively participate in the design and manufacturing of components which are deployed to deliver our flagship products.
Fourteen low-floor trams delivered to Liepajas Tramvajs
In 2018, we entered into a framework agreement with Liepājas tramvajs for the delivery of six low-floor trams type LT 2300, for the needs of public transport in the Latvian city of Liepaja. Over the next few years, 2 more contracts were signed for an additional 8 vehicles. The final, 14th tram was delivered to Liepaja in December 2022.
The project is the result of synergy among all KONČAR Group members, who actively participated in the design and manufacturing of all components.This delivery has brought contemporary and functional public transport to the residents and visitors of Liepaja.
