Generators for SHPPs

A specific feature of generators for SHPPs is our in-house factory acceptance testing. With our rich tradition in generator manufacturing, we have successfully created a diverse range of generators for SHPPs that are suitable for all types of plants.

Compact generators for diesel engine drives

We manufacture asynchronous generators for diesel engine drives designed for operation in nuclear power plants or for installation onboard vessels. Such generators supply auxiliary circuits in nuclear power plants and meet rigorous operational and technical standards.

Motors

We manufacture LV and MV asynchronous squirrel-cage or slip-ring induction motors of up to 10 MW, explosion proof motors, rotary transformers, special motors for elevators, cranes and bucket-wheel excavators. Our product range includes top-drive motors for oil wells, compressors, fans, slurry pumps, traction motors, and traction motors and motors for marine application (winches, bow thrusters, main propulsion). We also manufacture synchronous motors that are an integral part of various electrical motor systems used to drive compressors, crushers, grinders, rolling-mills and the like. During grid operation, these motors can also be used for reactive power compensation.

The Service and Workshop Organization department provides support throughout the entire lifespan of generators and engines through swift, professional, and high-quality on-site work execution.

Disassembly of existing and assembly of new or refurbished machinery or machine parts

Throughout the years, we have revitalized numerous aging devices and installations. We coordinate and execute all on-site activities related to disassembly of existing equipment, assembly of new machinery or components, and conduct comprehensive testing and commissioning.

We carry out customer-specific turnkey projects of rehabilitation and upgrades of existing machinery and associated systems. Harnessing the power of our solutions, we perform both preventive and planned maintenance, as well as inspections and complete overhaul of existing machinery.

Troubleshooting and equipment maintenance requires more than just technical expertise, we also need creativity and resourcefulness. We manufacture and deliver spare parts for machinery and associated systems, as well as tools and equipment, manufactured by KONČAR and other companies.

Compact generators for cogeneration plants

Power and thermal energy generation within cogeneration plants is crucial for a variety of technological processes. Cogeneration is especially appealing from an environmental standpoint because it optimizes fuel usage, leading to greater efficiency.

Water-jacket cooled motors

Water-jacket cooled motors are designed for regulated drives on ships. Up to now, we have delivered over 80 units designed for powering various working mechanisms on vessels.

These specific motors are designed for installation in piston compressor hubs. We manufacture them both in an open air-cooled design or a closed water-jacket cooled design.

Traction motors

We develop and manufacture asynchronous traction motors for low-floor trams and low-floor EMUs. One of our longest-running hallmark products - so far, we have delivered more than 1,000 of these components to customers.

Explosion-proof motors

Our HV and LV explosion-proof motors (flame-proof enclosure and over voltage) are widely applied in the chemical industry, oil & gas industry, mining, and in drives for pumps, compressors, fans and similar equipment. Each motor is certified by an independent testing laboratory and ATEX certification body.

Studies

As part of preventive maintenance, we routinely monitor and document the operation of rotating machinery. This enables us to prevent technical performance reduction of machinery and achieve or sustain the targeted plant values. The collected data allow us to gauge the remaining service-life of the machinery.

Flagship projects

Generator at St.Pantaleon HPP in Austria revitalized and upgraded

We completed the revitalization of a 34 MVA, 6,300 V, 136.36 rpm generator at St.Pantaleon HPP in Austria. The key component delivered within the scope of the project is a new stator.

Four new generators for Zakučac HPP

We participated in the refurbishment of Croatia’s most significant power plant, which was carried out after 50 years of uninterrupted operation.

New generators for Madison Dam SHPP in the USA

We manufactured, delivered and commissioned 4 synchronous generators with non-contact excitation system and other associated equipment for the needs of Madison Dam SHPP in the USA.
