“As a socially responsible company, we are aware of the danger that railway crossings pose. This is why we are continuously working on providing better and more effective protection by promoting reliable safety solutions through electronic devices that meet the high-level safety requirements of SIL4 (Safety integrity level 4). It was in 1998 that we developed and installed the first generation of level crossing safety devices, and to this day more than 100 of them have been put in operation. By implementing the latest technology to perfect the devices over the years, experts from the KONČAR Group have developed and produced the third-generation safety device for level crossings. The KLC3 type devices conform with the highest level CENELEC safety standards SIL4 and their technical specifications are in accordance with the standards of HŽ Infrastruktura”, said Goran Leci, PhD, President of the Managing Board at KONČAR – Power Plant and Electric Traction Engineering.
