KONČAR – Engineering Co. for Plant Installation and Commissioning (KMI) have concluded a contract for the delivery and installation of part of the equipment for the Liège Airport in Belgium and the “Franjo Tuđman” Airport in Zagreb, Croatia.
KMI have been subcontracted by the US company SAAB Sensis Corporation to deliver and install part of the equipment for the Advanced Surface Movement and Guidance Control System (A-SMGCS) at the Liège Airport in Belgium.
The main contract was concluded between KMI’s partner and the Belgian air traffic control for the purpose of delivering and integrating A-SMGCS.
The contract includes systems for the detection of airport objects through Surface Movement Radar and Surface Multilateration. The deadline for the delivery and installation of the equipment is February 2018.
KMI have also signed a contract with the Dutch company SAAB, ali Technologies B.V. for the delivery and installation of part of the A-SMGCS equipment at the “Franjo Tuđman” Airport in Zagreb, Croatia.
KMI will prepare the necessary technical documentation, deliver and assemble a container in which the equipment will be held and install and wire the power distribution boards, the redundant UPS system, the automatic fire suppression system and the redundant air-conditioning system.
